My name is Matthew D. Fodor and I am from
Hermiatge Pennsylvania where my Mom Bonnie, Dad David and 14 year old Brother
Michael live. We also have a dog named Maggie and a cat named Mariah there
too. In addition to my immediate family in Pennsylvania, my Godmother
MaryBeth, her husband Bob and my Godson Bobby live in Kirtland Hills, Ohio.
I have been involved in Music Ministry
since I was 14 years old, beginning as an accompanist in my home parish
of St. Stanislaus Kostka and also Director of Life Teen Music at St. Joseph
Church.
My other experience has included Director
of Music for St. James Church, Warren Ohio, and Mary Mother of Hope Church,
New Castle Pennsylvania.
I completed my undergraduate studies in
Music Performance at Westminster College, New Wilmington Pennsylvania,
and my Master of Music in Piano at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland,
Ohio.
My interests include music recording and
composition, church activities, movies, good food, (especially authentic
haluski and stuffed cabbage), musicals, theatre and spending time with
my cat Mercedes that I rescued from a pet store.
I am an active member of NPM, (National
Pastoral Musicians), and will be studying for DMMD, (Director of Music
Ministries Division), certification in the future.
It is exciting to be a new member of St.
Felicitas Parish and I look forward to our continued work and our growth
in the Faith of Jesus Christ through one another.
